In August 2010 Explorer Scouts from Llangollen District and Network Scouts / Leaders from Penycae Scout Group will be undertaking an Explorer Belt Expedition to Russia.  What a fanatastic opportunity!  A serious challenge for those involved!

The event will be supported by the Scout Association's Operation Network Russia and other Leaders from Penycae Scout Group.

Although we will be visiting Russia for 17 days, the Explorer Belt is an international expedition over 10 days that brings a real understanding of a different country and its culture.  Participants will work in teams and will be responsible for planning and carrying out their expedition with 'remote' support.

The Explorer Belt participants have much to do before departing for Russia in August 2010.  Regular meetings will be held together with a 'bonding' weekend in Yorkshire in February 2010 (see Calendar and Meetings above).  Regular Information leaflets will be published leading up to when we set out - Issue 1: An Introduction was released in November 2009 (see Admin above).
