Daffodil Planting
Thanks for all the hard work by the Beavers, parents and Leaders who were at Penycae HQ on 18th October to plant dozens of daffodil and bluebell bulbs.
Hopefully, in the spring we will have a beautiful display at the top of the field.
Clywedog Trail
As part of the Welsh Beaver Scout Award the Beaver Scouts in the District met at Minera lead mines and walked to Nant Mill for lunch. At Nant Mill the Beavers enjoyed exploring the craft and activity centre. If the weather had been better they could have played in the field or the stream.
The weather stayed dry long enough for them to enjoy their lunch outside.
We continued along the trail down to Bersham Heritage Centre and Ironworks.

Cox Wood - Activity/Adventure Day
What a fantastic day for all the Beavers (even the Leaders had a great time).
Making new friends with people from other colonies is good for everyone.
The Beavers tried archery, cooking bread twists, blind-trails, bivvy building, circus skills, wide games, wet games, assault course and crate stacking.
Thanks to the leaders from Penycae for their time in providing the archery instruction
