Welcome to Penycae Beavers

Beaver Scouts in Penycae is about making new friends, having fun, exploring the world around us, finding out about other cultures, countries, faiths, food etc.

We aim for our Beavers to take part in a varied programme that will interest them for the whole time they are with us.

 

The Beaver Scout Promise

Beaver Scouts are allowed to join at 5yrs 9mths and move on to Cub Scouts aged 7yrs 6mths. We usually do not invite new members until they are 6 yrs of age and do not normally move Beavers to Cubs before their 8th birthday. 

We have regular sleepovers both as a Colony and with other Beaver Scouts in the District. This gives many young people their first experience of sleeping away from home. At Penycae every Beaver Scout will be given the opportunity to attend at least two sleepovers.

We are currently working towards our Welsh Beaver Scout Award.
